Fact-Checking Policy
This policy describes how NextSpinMY verifies the facts it publishes about the nextspimy brand, which sources we treat as reliable, what happens when something cannot be verified, and how readers can report an error. It works together with our editorial policy.
We publish this because we are an independent affiliate site, not the operator. We have no inside information, no access to player accounts and no role in deposits or withdrawals. Everything we know comes from public sources, so the quality of our checking is the quality of our content.
Verification steps
Before a factual statement is published, the NextSpinMY Editorial Team follows these steps:
- Locate the primary source. For anything about the operator's products, promotions, terms or payment options, the primary source is the operator's own public page. For anything about Malaysian payment systems or regulation, the primary source is the relevant public authority.
- Read the current version. We check the live page at the time of writing, not a cached copy, a screenshot from social media or another website's summary.
- Record the attribution. Promotional claims are written as statements made by the operator, never as our own findings.
- Confirm any number. Bonus percentages, RM amounts, wagering multipliers, processing times, limits and similar values are published only after they have been verified against the source. If confirmation is not possible, the number is left out.
- Review against policy. A second read checks for unattributed claims, missing risk statements and language that could be mistaken for marketing.
- Date the page. Every page shows a "last updated" date reflecting the most recent check or change.
Sources we consider reliable
| Type of fact | Source we use |
|---|---|
| Operator products, promotions, terms, help content | The operator's public pages |
| Malaysian banking and payment regulation | Bank Negara Malaysia |
| Communications and online content regulation | MCMC |
| DuitNow, FPX and related payment rails | PayNet and DuitNow |
| Responsible gaming support | Befrienders Malaysia, Gamblers Anonymous, GamCare |
We do not treat forums, social media posts, other affiliate sites or anonymous reviews as reliable sources for factual claims. They may prompt us to look into something, but they are never the basis for publishing it.
What we do when something cannot be verified
Sometimes a figure is missing from the operator's public pages, or a page is unavailable, or two operator pages disagree. When that happens we do not guess and we do not pick the more attractive version. Instead:
- The unverified point is stated as unverified on the page itself.
- The reader is directed to check the operator's current promotions page or terms.
- If the point is central to the article, the article is held back until it can be checked.
Expert tip: If you see a bonus figure on our site that differs from the operator's page, the operator's page wins. Terms change, and our updated date tells you how recently we looked.
How readers report errors
Readers are an important part of our fact-checking. If you find a mistake, an outdated figure or a claim that is not attributed, please tell us:
- Use the form on the contact page.
- Email hello@nextspinmy.com with the page address and what you believe is wrong.
- For anything security related, email security@nextspinmy.com instead.
You do not need to prove the error; a pointer to the source is enough for us to check it ourselves.
Correction timeline
We correct confirmed errors as soon as practical. When a page is corrected, its content changes and its "last updated" date changes with it, so readers can see that the page has been revised. We do not silently edit pages while leaving the old date in place.
A note on limits
Fact-checking cannot remove the risk from gambling. Outcomes are random, gambling involves financial risk and it is not a source of income. Malaysian readers should understand the laws that apply to them; we do not give legal advice. Our responsible gaming page explains where to find help, and the about page explains more about who we are. Everything we publish is reachable from the homepage.
